Highly recommend casserole dishes here, good for sharing. We got the boiled abalone and chicken casserole tonight. It comes served on a small gas stove so it continues to cook and bubble away. Our server came later and cut up the chicken (Cornish hen size) with regular scissors - it's that tender! And also scooped out the abalone flesh from at least two shells. The soup has rice and you add the salt seasoning to it according to your preference. The spicy soondoboo or tofu soup was SPICY! Need to remember to ask for medium spicy next time. Pork bbq comes out on a sizzling iron plate- we got the spicy style , a good sweet spicy char on it. As always excellent seafood pancake tonight: crisp edges and tender pieces of shrimp and octopus, plus the dipping sauce - can be shared as an appetizer. Busy evening service so we were seated in one of their private rooms. TV is always playing a golf game so I never really pay attention, lol. There were holiday Christmas lights and some decor out front. Very cheerful.

Okay let's check it out, Chung Dam, this place has the best cold noodle, it's Korean Nengmion. Omg it was really unreal so delicious. It's about the noodles, thin chewy crunchy and this place has it. Other dishes were delicious too, definitely recommend this place.

PROS: - Pretty good tofu soup! - Side dishes were good. - Prices were decent. CONS: - The plaza this place is located in is tiny. Parking can be a nightmare during peak hours.

Chung Dam Tofu has always been one of my family's go-to spots to get Korean food in the area! Located in the NS Plaza, Chung Dam has somewhat limited parking spots as they share it with many businesses in the area. I don't usually have a hard time finding parking, but during peak hours it can get crowded! When you walk in you'll notice that the interior of the restaurant is its own spin between modern but traditional Korean architecture. I love how clean the restaurant is and how there are plenty of tables to accommodate both smaller and larger parties. They even have separate rooms available to reserve if you want a more private larger gathering. When you walk in you'll immediately be greeted by one of the servers who's quickly seat you. There's not too much of a wait normally, so you don't have to call in advanced (again only if you're not reserving a larger party). Every server I've met has always been so kind and friendly, and they definitely recognize repeat customers! This is definitely an authentic Korean restaurant, as all of the dishes that they serve are many of the traditional ones. The most recent time I went, I got the Noodle in Cold Black Bean Broth with acorn starch noodles and my dad got their Tonkatsu. Their noodles are my favorite whenever it's a hot day in the summer! It's so refreshing with the cold broth and I love how they still preserve the nutty taste from the pine nuts. It also is traditionally served with very little salt so it's up to you to add salt to your liking (it comes in a side dish separately). My dad's Tonkatsu was also so delicious. It was perfectly crispy but also light! The sauce is served on the side and is the perfect tangy complement to the fried katsu pieces. In terms of banchan, they offer a good amount with your typical sides, like cucumber kimchi. It's not an overwhelming amount, but definitely enough and they always offer refills! I will say that this place can be on the pricier side for some of these dishes, but they do give you large portions! Overall, I highly recommend Chung Dam Tofu if you're looking for authentic Korean food in the area!

This is my all time favorite Korean establishment. The ambiance is relax and casual. The waitress and all the staff are so friendly. The food is amazing and consistent - I've never had a bad meal here. My go to is the bossam, there was one time where they were all out of bossam and that's okay since my next go to is the tofu soup combination set. I think their tofu soup is the best in the area, super flavorful and must have that spice (extra spicy, please!) I'm happy to say that I go there enough that the staff recognizes me and my order how lucky am I to be local to this gem! Also, for all you bossam lovers - the oyster radish kimchi is the best I've ever had.

I craved some tofu soup for a cold night and found this place. They have great option for tofu soup and also offer customization. I ordered the Red soup with seafood. They have several options of broth. The food hit the right spot The restaurant is new and clean and the server was really nice to us. Definitely come back to try different broths.

This is a really good Korean spot for banchan. If you want to try something different aside from Korean BBQ, I'd recommend this for starters. Almost similar but there's a lot more variety. Service was attentive, mostly because we were probably the only few customers there on a week day afternoon. I finally had the chance to come here in person and it hit. Usually my fiancé would bring it home or to go. Ordering Tofu soup is must. I feel it's pretty standard since you're coming into a tofu house haha. One of the main thing for me is that they have to have really good kimchi. You know what, their kimchi is amazing. I've grown on to the flavors over the years. All the other side dishes were really fresh as well. Aside from ordering Tofu soup, a must order is the bbq marinated pork ribs. It's the main reason why I came in haha. Either order the bbq pork ribs or the bbq beef ribs. Heck, why not both? Lol. Good service, good food, no complaints. Highly recommend coming here.

This location (though not sure if the same business owners) has been here YEARS serving up soondoboo (tofu soup) and other delicious Korean eats! Interior reminds me of what I'd think eating in an authentic restaurant in Korea would be like. Service was really nice. Food lacked a bit of flavor I had to keep adding sauce but overall I'd actually get it again.
